Arduino help for Chest display

Hi,

I was thinking of using an arduino board I bought a while ago for the Chest display in my armor. I never learned to code for it, I wanted to see if anyone successfully used Arduino for their costume. Any tips or schematics would be extremely useful. I have the vision, just not the knowhow.
