Making Ramikadyc Armor
« on: Feb 06, 2017, 01:20 AM »
Su cuy'gar my Mandalorian brothers! I am working on my first armor build and I wanted it to be in the late Crusader Ramikadyc style. My problem is I'm having some trouble finding resources for this armor. History of the armor, origins, who used it, why, etc. Not to mention I can't find any templates either.
So I thought I would ask the Crusader experts! Could you answer some of my questions about the origins and history of the armor? And could you guide me along the right path towards the right resources for the actual armor building?
I look forward greatly to becoming not only a Mando Merc, but joining the ranks of the Crusaders as well.
Vor entye, ner vod.

Well you aren't going to find templates as The Mandalorian Arsenal set is only made by them and the armor itself is based off a piece of fan artwork. As for origins or history it doesn't have one within Legends or Canon material.

More widely there aren't any templates for Crusader era armor at all, because in that era each Mandalorian build their own armor there are so similar and for the purposes of the club, when you build a set of Crusader armor you need to use reference images, which can be found here-http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=12625.0

Now with that being said their are two sellers than make Crusader era armor and helmets for sale, one being The Mandalorian Arsenal, the other people Forge Props. Both of which have seller threads located here http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?board=270.0

But otherwise like I said there are no templates, which is part of the reason why there aren't a ton of crusader kits running around, is because if you decide to make a kit in the Crusader era, really in any of the non-modern eras, you have to do so without the mountain of resources that modern era kit builders have access too.

Either way we are happy to guide you through the process.

Unfortunately quote from The Mandalorian Arsenal website as of today date 2/8/17: "RAMIKADYC ARMOR CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2016, THIS ARMOR IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE WHILE THE MOLDS ARE REWORKED AND IMPROVED."  The helmet however is still available for purchase.  Use the link Naran provided to the Supply Depot.

Like Naran said, we are here to help don't hesitate to ask questions.  Naran helped me a lot in my LC build (WIP below in my signature).

Necropost.  Kirodan the Ramikadyc armour is back on the market for sale as of today.

Do you know where exactly, because at TMA, the site still says that the Ramikadyc Armor Kit has been retired. Soo..... I personally wouldn't know what do except for making it myself.

That was over 2 years ago, no longer available through TMA.
