Right away you should know this is probably going to be a slow build. I plan to document and update as much as I can but its not going to be quick.
That said, this started with the Neoguard helmet from NME Props. Its a very slick and sleek design that I really like. The helmet is inspired by the Emperor’s Royal Guards and I’m taking that for my inspiration as well. Not a mashup or crossover kit, just the colors and general “feel” of those costumes. The silent predator, lurking and waiting, ready to strike at any moment. You’ll see more of the inspiration and design I have in mind as I progress.
First things first though is the helmet. I have carefully cut out the visor and attached the breather tips.
Next was a good couple of primer coats with a sanding inbetween.
Then a couple of metallic coats with a wet sanding inbetween. I plan another wet sanding before applying the color as I want this to be a smooth, clean kit.
I’m planning to use black and a metallic red for the colors. I just need to find a metallic red I like. More updates soon?
