No picture update yet but I did get started on trimming the plates. I'm going to start by trimming to original size and then from there, start sizing down the plates!

Haha sorry to disappoint you Havelock! I left the plastic cutting scissors at my friends house and haven’t had a chance to get them or to go out and buy them yet.

I have found that a sanding drum on a dremmel is very good at trimming down ABS  or a cutting wheel (not my preference only because my hands tend not to make clean cuts)

Oh I’ll have to try that!

I’m hoping I’ll get the armor set trimmed at the AP this weekend and will finally get some progress done other than just trimming the shoulders

Tools acquired and almost all trimming done! All that’s left to trim is the back of boot armor and thigh holsters. The edges are still really rough but until it’s sized down, I’ll wait to do the final sanding.

There’s some vode in my clan who are very talented clone builders and know how to size things down to fit hobbit sized people and graciously offered to help me sized all this down so eventually that’ll happen





Still have to finish up the soft goods... I’ve sadly been slacking in that department lol.

Long time no progress. I did say it’d be a slow build lol

Anyway, some progress done on my gauntlets! My friend was kind enough to 3D print me some that were scaled down to 80% of the normal size. He did some primer filler and a light coat of paint to get an idea of how it’d look.

I then spent some time sanding and spot putty filling and I’m pretty happy with the results. It’s quite smooth now. I’m going to try to hit it with some primer tomorrow to see if I’ve missed any spots.




I’m missing one of the clips and one of the tops to a rocket, but I think he said he could reprint those easily for me.
