I have a set of Leather boots with a lug sole and tie up sides that might look right, I just need to remember how to post a picture in here so you all can look at them and say yay or nay

I'm curious looking through the reference pix for neo-crusaders I've noticed that along with the hard face plate some of them had a fabric cowl instead of the stiffer material that I saw so much through kotor (which was my inspiration) is it acceptable to use the fabic cowl instead of the other material and still fall within the set standards?

From the Neo-crusader CRL:
Quote
1. Full helmet of Neo Crusader type required. Helmet should have a hard face plate and a hard helmet, the helmet should be covered by a same color cowl extending to the neck with the face plate exposed. The cowl should be of a soft material that allows for felxation and head turning.

So pretty much yes, you can use fabric for the cowl, but it has to be over a hard helmet and mask. Jaiden Turr'n Verda's helmet, seen here is pretty much the perfect example of how it should be built.

Yes, as long as it's not the type seen in any modern era references, IE Sandtroopers and Clone Troopers. It would need to be a custom version styled more after what you seen in the reference photo's.

And yes, Rohlan in a KOTOR timeline, late Crusader Era.

I have a question about the flight suit requirements for late crusader era kits:

The CRL says "No visible zippers or closures on flight suit/under-armor for this era." I found a Verda Ra'shae's website with a wonderful tutorial on how to make a female flight suit. Does the zipper count as hidden enough to meet the guidelines? If not I have no idea how that's supposed to work. Haha.

We're more concerned about visible zippers on vests and the torso zip on the flightsuit. Zippers on arms and legs, such as on Milspec flightsuits, are fine.

Cool thing about the CRL's is they are in constant flux. As long as you can back anything with canon, in era, Mandalorian reference it can probably fly just fine.

The purpose of that statement was based upon the Crusader's reference photos wher there are metal belt type buckles visible. It was to eliminate the plastic quick release type buckels which in general are fine but didn't appear in that timeline at the time the CRL was authored.

I know green is an acceptable color for neo crusaders. But does anybody have a reference picture available for these? I have been doing a hardcore scavanger hunt.for at least one pic of the green armor and havnt come up with anything yet. Thanks

Green is not sourced in the official canon timeline. I believe it was a color option for playable characters in game.

Planning my late crusade outift and wondering if attaching the jetpack by means of harness through the back armour plate ( more commonly used in modern) would be okay?.
In reference pics I have seen Rohlan use a single backpack like strap but that was only over his right shoulder. Im thinking in a more practical sense and attaching via harness wouldnt be that visable also back pack strapping can play havoc with the rest of the armour sitting right I guess.

 thanks

Yup, that would be fine. I think in Rohlan's case it's more of a bandolier.
