I have a question about:

So I'm wondering if I could attach pouches to plates like my ab? I'm planning on going for the medical brigade and one thing I'm having issues with is coming up with spots to put everything. I saw an image that showed something similar to this and wanted to check before I did. The plate would still be visible and there as well .

If you're asking about adding pouches to hard armor.  I think it could work visually... however.  adding weight to plates at the end of what is effectively a lever -- is going to wreak havoc on your spacing and make things droop.
