Ok. I confess, I pretty much liked Solo, I really liked Tobias Beckett as a character and I fell in love with his blasters.

I decided I wanted them for my Mando, nut i knew that picking both was just resulting a Beckett's clone, and i wanted something more "my way". So, in addiction to my westar 35, I bought an awesome 3d print of the DG-29 heavy blaster.

It came with 3 spare interchangeable clips. The barrel rotates, allowing to change the clip, holded in piace with a magnet.
This is a preliminar assembly, just to have an idea on how it looks.

Its a very nice print. It will not require much work, and i can't wait to work on it.

Little update, I liked the oxidation effect on the barrel, so i tried to recreate it. I'm pretty happy about it. it's a little wider than the movie prop, but i'm ok with that.

The guy that sells this dg29 on etsy (traywick designs), also sells the rskf-44, with spare clips and with opening barrel to change the clips. And it's quality prints.

Does anyone know how I should deal with the scope? I mean, it is 3d printed like the blaster, but i don't know what to do with the "lenses", which of course are plain 3d print. My idea was to buy a real scope, but i'm not sure if the attachment ring are the same diameter. Any solution for the 3d print?

Saw someone on another weapons thread use a glass bead, like for fishtanks, as a "lens".

I would think that a piece of plexiglass or acrylic would work well, you'd have to cut out a round and sand it down to fit snug. and sure it up with some super glue or epoxy.

Epoxy.  Superglue will fog it up bad.  Found that out the hard way.

Had busy months at work, but finally i've been able to get back on my kit. Decided to solve the scope problem buying a cheap scope from a sport store. still need to paint it obviously.

Ok guys, I found this old cheap airsoft shotgun. How can I make it more swarzy?

The first things that come to my mind are removing the pump grip and putting the magazine on the side.

That's what I thought. Also thought about removing the lower barrel and adding some strange muzzle break.

Nice idea
What you think of making it a double barrel blaster, you would have the space for 2 barrels over of each other.
I would remove the reddot and put a more star wars ish aiming unit on top.

Wow guys these are awesome ideas. Do you think it would be better to have a huge pistol blaster or a very short rifle blaster? In both case, how long should I keep the barrels?

Those shotguns make awesome heavy blaster pistols.  I have a similar one, but kept the mag where it was.  I'll have to find a pic of it (or take a new one... ).
