Hi guys so I’ve been wondering what r the differences between the 2. I know someone probably made a thread about this before but I need a simple answer for my mando backstory. I know the MP’s are elite soldiers guarding the mandalore (or the duchess im CW) and the JP’s are policemen’s. But is JP like a branch of the MP or not at all? And are the True Mando Super Commando technically MP’s cause Jaster is Mandalore? Thx

Technically, they're all "law enforcers" in a very lose sense but the short answer to your question is they're BOTH Mandalorian Protectors. Journeymen Protectors specialize in domestic Law enforcement on Mandalore while the standard Protector act as the Super Commandos to protect Mandalore as a whole while also being a private army for higher. Both recieve the same training and wear the same style and color of armor. (Though Journeymen are denoted by a red girth belt)

Thx for the answer 😁, so my question now is where r the protectors at the time of Jango Open season r they now under the new mandalorians and protecting the duchess like in the CW series? Or do they side with either the DW or TM?

Okay, so in Legends, the Protectors are a spiritual successsor to the True Mandalorians, upholding the same standards and Resol'nare. They were founded by a renegade clone named Spar, who wish to bring the True Mandalorians back to their former glory.
