I hear ya. I REALLY wanted to do a green heavy turquoise but I have awful luck with air brushes. I thought about doing the tertiary light blue for the gauntlets but it just looked SOOOOO off. If it were allowed, I probably would've gone with a weathered turquoise

lol. I think they could look pretty sweet and would definitely be pretty unique. I did some spray paint research for you and in my opinion the Rustoleum Satin Lagoon blue might be a cool choice for a blue color but has appears to have a somewhat lighter blueish - teal vibe like in the old Marvel comics and in Jango Fett open season

First brush was my fault. I disassembled it to clean it and parts fell down the drain and my  second brush just quit on me after one use

I treat mine with no respect....gets a clean every now and then
Iwata eclipse.....swear by it, also got a badger velocity ....feels good in hand, nice weight and finish....iwata is easier to use

Yikes. That sucks. In paint related news, stumbled upon this paint color at Meijer. It is  the perfect match for the Marvel comics Protector gauntlet/jetpack blue. I actually might repaint my gauntlet blasters this color.

Got quite a bit done today on my first free day in almost 2 weeks.

I mounted my wrist rocket on my left gauntlet. I'm going to look into buttons and switches to install here next week and do some final painting touch ups.



As an added bonus, I was able to cut out my Boba style plates with 6mm sintra I had lying around. After I cut the armor out, I rounded all the edges and washed out all off to get it ready for primer and paint.




After cutting my plates (To ESB playing in the background by the way), I went to Ace Hardware to see what they had for paint colors. I'm planning on using Rustoleum Meadow Green for the helmet and the satin outdoor green for the plates. I was originally going to use red but saw this fire orange color and was instantly drawn to it. What do you all think? Stick with red for the visor frame and knees or use this fire orange?

I shaped and molded my plates and got my US Army 7th Infantry and FORSCOM patches or my gloves today!

I thought so. After looking through the Pre-Pro Boba I was curious as to the design on the padding on the gloves and did some research. Once I discovered what they were, I ordered them. I'm planning on getting some ESB gloves from MoW to put them on and I have a friend who can stitch them on

Hey Protectors!

I just started to put the Rustoleum aluminum coat on my plate. I'm going to layer weather them like my gauntlets. I'm going to use the same gold as the second layer I used as the primary color to my old plates since the point is new beginnings but same ol' Jaster. Would like to do the red patterns on the yellow first, mask, then apply the protector green and remove the masking, but I feel like the mix of colors like that could look weird.

I wouldn't say that it would look weird (Boba Fett himself has yellow showing from underneath his green paint) just might be a lot of extra work just to show very minimal first kit paint. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out

And that's one of my big concerns is why do all that extra work to add in a miniscule detail? Especially since it's meaning will be lost onto those outside my clan. It's definitely more of a personal meaning

Oya fellow protectors

Looks like I've got my bucket. I'm repurposing this one that was a part of my ex-wife's kit that he didn't want anymore. I went on ahead and primed it and will add the metal layer soon
