Well everyone it is time for kit#2! And thanks to my love of The Clone Wars animated series, I'm going to make a Pantoran Mandalorian. I came up with a concept about a year ago with Pantoran cultural elements from Clone Wars on a Mandalorian foundation.
I wrote out some things for gun slinger, but I actually have decided to go with one blaster and a melee weapon instead.

From the drawings, the plate style is more like Bo Katan. However, when I went to design the plate templates today, I actually started from a Sabine base, adding the ab and collar to meet CRLs. I kept Sabine's shoulder armor strips though. What do you think?

I am going to make this kit out of metal because I'm determined to try my hand at something new. Plus, I'm really really tired of worrying about scratching the paint job, I'm going to beat this kit up!

Got myself a GL-77 modeled after the ones the Pantorans used in Clone Wars.
It was very beautifully designed and crafted by Jorad Werde. Unfortunately, the 'ol reliable US postal service did a number on this beauty and I'll have to glue the barrel back together. Jorad suggested supporting the barrel with a dowel pin and I totally agree.

By the way, Jorad designed this with a magnetic removable clip that comes out the bottom of the grip! So awesome!!

I know very little about working with 3D prints to get lines out other than sanding. What's the process y'all use?

That is beautiful! Always loved those blasters!

I’ve used bondo spot putty with great success to get rid of print lines. Smear it on, let dry, and then sand smooth. Repeat if necessary Sarah, kai and now Amanda have used XTC on printed stuff and I believe the process is the same as the spot putty! Hope that helps!

I use bondo spot putty as well. I’ve found doing a layer, sanding it, and then hitting everything with filler primer works great. The filler primer helps smooth it out, and also allows you to see what areas may need another round of putty/sanding.

Ok I taped paper templates to me so y'all can check spacing and size. The outside bottom edges of the chest plates are flared out because paper templates, boobs, and tape don't play nice together so I just left it alone. What I tried to maintain was consistent spacing, though I see some issues with the diamond already.
