I can't see it in your taped on pictures but I know you have it based on your previous photos, but make sure when you get ready to apply you take a picture with the pauldron off so the app team can see your collar plate.

For sure, thanks! I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures of different layers of the armor. I'm getting snaps in place this week so some will be coming your way!

I've gotten all my plate armor on and got it approved by the Ruus'alors in my area! Just a few more steps. I have to attach my COD plate. I have to get my girth belt and holster, weather the soft parts a bit more, re-paint the armor plates, and tailor my flight suit sleeves a bit, so they're less baggy. So close, yet so far! I'll also soak the ends of my wookie braids in some fabric softener to combat their frizziness, and plan to use leather strips to tie them off rather than just leaving it with rubber bands, more a personal choice than anything.

to me

I know it's been a while, but I've been busy! Did a lot of re-painting, altering, and new additions, but I think I'm getting close.

What's been done since I last posted:

Made a new cape. (I just attached the fur today, hence why I don't have pictures of it with the full ensemble).

Re-painted my armor.

Touched up battle damage.

Tailored my flight suit to get rid of the "bagginess".

Removed antennas from the helmet.

What still needs to be done:

Helmet paint touch-up.

Cod piece attached.

Cape weathering.

Additional soft parts weathering.

Fix the LED in my right gauntlet.

Apply padding to the inside of my gauntlets to prevent sliding.

If there's anything I failed to mention or haven't seen, please let me know!! I'm hoping to send in my app pictures before February. Thanks guys!

Looking great dude!

My onlymain comment is to make sure the weathering on your soft parts is visible and the same level of your plate weathering. You have that listed in your ToDo so youre ahead of the game.

You may also want to look at your visor, it doesnt go the full length of the T.

Hope to see your kill stripes soon!

Thanks for taking a look! For sure, I'm in the middle of dirtying up the soft parts right now, so thanks. Also I'll take a look at my visor. I might have to shorten the T on my helmet if the visor is too short. It would be a nightmare to remake the visor longer at this point. (The visor is a double layer visor with smokey clear on the outside layer and a hex pattern reflective red on the inside, all done by hand). Would there be any problems if I do it that way? (Cutting down the bottom of the helmet to fit rather than extending the visor?)

Was awol for a bit again so I missed the question previously, but from what I can see you should be able to afford trimming the helmet a hair to fit the visor. Alternately (as much as I personally hate them, lol) you could look at adding some kind of small rebreather at the bottom there to cover the gap.

I'm on mobile right now so I will post properly visible pics later, but here's an imgur album of my latest progress.

http://imgur.com/a/JjIZ1Ln

After consulting my local clan I went with a little armor on the bottom of the visor to fill the gap and did a full facial repaint of my helmet. I also repainted my cod plate and modified/repainted my blaster. I've also more heavily weathered my soft parts to match the armor and will post pics of that later this evening.

It's all coming together!

I was going to comment earlier but it takes way to long to load all those pics at one time.  Hoping I see the whole thing soon.  Might get more comments with just a few pics that can load faster.  I Have speedy download speeds but for some reason there are a ton of pics that have to load before I personally can see a few.  Just FYI

Very nice! The paint on your armor is amazing. There are a couple of things that I noticed may get tagged in pre-app, or I am being nit picky (apologies in advance if that ends up being the case). In a couple of the pics it looks like the bottom and top of the belly plate is lifted off of your vest. I am not sure if it is just stance and the angle of the pic. A couple of the images it looks fine.

In the first image it looks like the fang of your left chest plate down near the ab plate is coming off of your vest a little and the spacing between both of your chest plates is not even. This could just be a quick positioning tweak. I have to re-position my back plate a couple times every time I kit up to get it to sit just right.

The other other thing I really notice is the weathering on your vest isn't coming through in the photos. It looks very clean compared to the rest of your kit.

Overall, beautiful kit and I look forward to hearing how pre-app goes!  :like: :like: :like:

Thanks for the comments! The floating ab plate has been noted by the pre-app people as well so I'll be working on that. Vest and flight suit weathering will be addressed as well. The spacing being not even between plates is defs a sitting issue I'll just have to re-adjust when I put it on for my next pictures. About the floating fang, I'll take a look but it might just need a quick adjustment. Haven't heard anything about it yet from the team.

Looking great! The only thing I can advise is maybe some shaping of the chest diamond as it appears to float away from you a little bit.
I look forward to hearing your pre-app results!
