I've been meaning to make my own Jodo ever since I read Twin Engines of Destruction back in 1999. I was like “wow! Guy has some guts to pose as Boba Fett!” Even though he was no match for Fett, he still earned his place among my favorite Star Wars characters.
It's a project I want to take slow as I want to make it as bad-sheb as I can. This means chest display, RF servo and lights, jetpack beacon light... hell, I might even try some miniature smoke generator and LEDs inside the flamethrower

Alright less talking, more pictures!

Purchase of my life - Boba Maker v3. Perfect quality. It's light and fits perfectly. Of course - I COULD make it out of PCV buuut as I want it to be as perfect as I can, I spared no expense.


Boba boots made my Imperial Boots. Bought at their -20% sale while I was on the armor shopping spree.


My first 3D printed thing. It's glued together at the moment and that's about it. Trigger is printed solid and I'm trying to find a way to make it work. OR I might make a proper Sacros K-11 Disintegrator Pistol seen on the action figures


3D printed belt accessories. Files from Thingiverse. Stormtrooperguy made them



Some more 3D prints. Thingiverse and/or TDH.


My first ever 3D project commission order. Money well spent.


Shoulder bells are ready. There was a bit of work with masking for the skull but all in all it was worth the efford I've also switched from Vallejo to Mr. Hobby C and Tamiya. Much better as they don't become gooey after a while in their bottles.


That's how it looks in all its glory. Picture is "old" - before airbrushing of some parts.

Haven't written anything about the helmet as I haven't taken any decent pictures yet. It's a NME Mercenary Large. Bought in september 2018 on a 15% sale. It's a great quality bucket - solid and sturdy.

So, that's all for now. I still have my workstation set up and most probably I'll try to finish the orange parts this week.

Small update before I go away on vacation:


The gauntlets are almost ready. Flamethrower nozzles and dental expander are on their way so once they're here, all I have to do is weather the gauntlets a bit more and seal it all with a nice coat of matte varnish.


Belt accessories got their hose connectors and that means they're ready!

A small update - KNEE ARMOR IS READY!


All the rest of the orange parts is weathered and sealed with matte topcoat.


Pictures taken with a potato during sunset so the quality isn't oh so great but it is really dirty
All elements where the main color is orange are ready. I don't know whether to work on bucket or armor, hmm? Any suggestions? I do not have a flight suit and vest yet so I think it would be good to go with the bucket first

Soooo... it's been a while. Made a load of progress though.

I printed the jetpack in 30+ parts!

So far it looks like this:


Also got the plates painted:



So much work, all that airbrushing with a trusty Mr Hobby C052 only to make it dirrrrty but - I hope you like it as much as I do Now all that is left is to glue jewelery pins as Fettastic showed on TDH and it's ready to test-fit on the vest... which needs weathering

The bucket is also all painted up but it was too late to take good pictures so - next time

The bucket is all done And I did a test fit of the (almost) complete set:


Got the main blaster printed, thanks to Alay for the file. I modified it a bit - made the middle part about 50mm longer


The jetpack got some love too:



After talks with Dha Bral and bernie it's been decided that the jetpack shall be painted in RAL 7031 and here are the initial results:
