Hello everyone,
I'm working on my first Kit build and decided after a bit of research that I wanted to go with the Early Crusader vs. a Modern look, originally I thought of blending the two but once I started looking into the Early Crusaders I fell for the look. I don't think as far as I'm aware that any Early Crusaders used any form of blaster, just swords mainly. I'm still open to debate on the weapon, maybe a sword crafted from a rancor bone or a Spear made from a Sabertooth (Apart of the Cerar Clan whos logo is the saber skull that inspired this look) at the least I've settled on a dagger made from the tooth of a saber. I plan on molding my own suit to get that "bone" feel to it and use leather straps and ropes for the appearance of it being secured to my body but use buckles underneath the plates for the actual hold and the outer ropes for an aesthetic look. The edges of the neck area and shoulders and knees, etc. will have tuffs of fur/pelt as well as the back of the helm having a "Mane" of fur with a removable matching shoulder tabard. as far as weathering details and symbols etc. I haven't made it that far yet other than the weathering for the bones and leather. I'm also playing with the idea of a shield or buckler made from either a Mythosaurs or Acklay skull, maybe give it a hidden blade or double it as the sheath for the sword/spear or (if its lore friendly idk please let me know in the comments) maybe a crossbow since bowcasters may not have existed in that era, unless I make changes to have a modern suit with early era-esk remanence but I think I'm going to stick with the straight Early Crusader rather than that. I would love all the feedback I can get for this build so please feel free to leave all criticism good or bad, Thank you!
