On my jango, the flakvest clearly goes past my belly button to my belt which holds my cod plate. You cannot see the end of the vest at all due to my waist items covering the ends. If you zoom in you can see what I’m talking about on the front

And your neck on the vest is way to big. It shouldnt be bigger then your collar plate.

If you're not going the cold cast route for Jango, I would suggest the Rub N' Buff route.

I figured. It's just hard to get it all buffed evenly and not in sections. You can see every little detail, and it's hard to correct.

Looks great so far. You want to make sure you prime and sand your surfaces real well so it’s as smooth as you can, then apply the Rub-n-buff. If it dosnt go on smooth you can just keep applying more to it. Here is a good video I went by. https://youtu.be/rItYKAEbt90

Not much, but I've made some progress.

Helmet's had a layer of Bondo applied over the fiberglass, so now it's even stronger, and soon, it'll be nice and smooth inside.


3D-printed Westars are all sanded and filled in, so ready for primer, then I send 'em to my vod OriKad for work.


All the armor pieces sans the chest, collar, ab, back, and cod are sanded smooth and just need a bit more filler and primer and then they'll be ready for rub'n buff.
Gauntlets need a lot of attention, but are close behind. Jet pack and all its parts have been sanded down thoroughly, and are ready to be shipped to OriKad as well. Girth belt is pretty much done, just need to work on the ends. And I've ordered my cod and back plate.

So, yay for any progress, really.

More (minor) progress!

Got the kneecap areas put together, the back plate fully shaped, and both it and the cod have been primer'd.

Also finally sent my jet pack and guns away to my friend, so now I just wait for him to work his magic on them.

Also, my dad and I did a very ROUGH suit up with the vest and torso plates to get an assessment of them. Any feedback (that isn't about the positioning of the plates) is helpful. Thanks!

Looks like you're rolling right along, but some things have caught my eye.

Is that a place holder diamond, or have you not made the rectangle cutout around the middle?



Jango's back plate had the U shape cutout in the bottom of it, like Boba's back plate.  Do you plan on adding the cuttout?



The knee shape is looking OK, but there should be a return edge on top.



Are you also working on the side section of the knee with the darts and "upside down F"?

I haven't seen the cod plate on you just yet, so I'm concerned about size, but there should be a loop attached to the cod plate for your westar holsters.

Yes, Mi'ix, I'm aware of all that you've pointed out. The simple fact is that I have yet to get to those parts. But I DO have the other pieces and parts for the knees, I will be making the cutout and trimming the back plate, I still need to cut the rectangle on the diamond (since I lost my original), and the cod is the right size, plus, I have the loop piece. Nothing to worry about. Not yet, anyway.

The gist is that I bought the backplate, and it doesn't come with the cutout. I bought the cod from the same seller, and I gave him my measurements for both plates, so they fit me. I also ordered another diamond with the rectangle cutout BUT I won't know if it's the right size till I get it. I got the loop piece from our very own Noevex. And I cut out all the parts for the knees based on the online templates, I just haven't attached them all because it'll be easier to sand and smooth them when they're not all one piece.

Rub'n Buff!

Finished priming the back plate, so it was finally time to try rub'n buffing. Two friends who are experts at it, and one of which is an approved Jango, said it looks great, but we'll see...
