so, i've been having a hard time mocking up this idea, but i think i finally have a close approximation to what i have in mind. being from canada, i want my kit to fit the winter climate, so i've been looking into some of the various snow-trooper design elements to bring in. the one i really want to add is the the veers style helmet.
color is just to make the models show up better against the background, not final. i also am basically just smashing two models together, so i couldn't add in certain details like i intend to. the earcaps, i'm planning to add coming "through" the side fins of the helmet, to be basically the top, rounded section of typical boba/jango earcaps (similar to the new Mandalorian tv helmet).
for the keyslot in the back, i'm going to cut a gap out of the fin so it will show the recessed keyslot of the original helmet. my plan is to make it so the veers dome can be removed, leaving just the standard mando helmet underneath. in concept, i imagine it'd be like adding an extra insulating device, possibly with air filters for harsh, artic climates with low oxygen. i'm going to try and add some sketches to show my ideas better, but would love to hear peoples thoughts on this idea, and if you think it might be approvable?
