Alright, I was adviced to read the CRL's on Crusader armour, and post a WIP in here.
My thought was that I could make the codpiece with stuffed leather (possibly with thin metal rods inside of it), likewise the back"plate".
Shins and forearms are gonna be "beskar" plates made out of 3mm PVC.
No idea about the chest yet.
Though I planned on making the helmet similar to Rohlan's in the earlier issues of KotOR.
The weapons are a bit complicated. What blaster design is "ancient"? But I already built a blaster pistol out of a western style toy gun, so maybe that would do it.
And I'm planning on making a shotgun-style blaster.

Corr helped me developing flexible chest plates made out of sintra stripes sewn into a middle brown cloth, with a leather covering.
Same goes with the back plate.
Then I wanted to make the thighs out of stuffed cloth, maybe with leather covering. Depends on how much is left after the chest and back plates.
Abs and codpiece are gonna be one piece, made similar to the thighs.
Shins and forearms are still the "beskar" plates, and I decided on spray-painting them silver.
Also, I saw a neat set of knives in the KotOR comics (Mandos surrounding Jarael, should be issue 7)
Now, I'd really like input on the shoulders.
Oh, and I also thought about sewing a kama out of some light grey cloth I have, with the brown cloth as a two-inch border.

Yeah, popped over to Deutschland for a bit, then came home...

Are you sure? That could seriously restrict lower-torso movement, like bending over (to gather a trophy).

Now, I'd really like input on the shoulders.

Have you seen Ge'tal Gra'tua's Crusader's shoulders, with the spikes? Might want to consider embellishing on that idea. Or maybe take the TK shoulder bell thing and have yours cover your biceps too, add some spikes to the back...?

The cod/abs plate is just stuffed cloth. Doesn't sound like it's gonna restrict movement much.

I don't really like all the spikes others put on their armour. They tend to get in the way.
But it would be a funny picture. Mando with large spikes on the back of his helmet, on the shoulder bells and back plate, walks around the jungle. Somebody jumps at them from a tree in front of him. BUT the Mando chooses this moment to pick up a credit chip, and bends down. Then he stands back up. "Why is my backpack so heavy?" Head turns around, seeing the dead guy pierced by the spikes. "Oh."

Okay, I scetched out my ideas so far.

The back plate is padded cloth, with scale-like plates covering the spine. I thought that might be a good compromise between safety and flexibility.
Oh, and Corr? Are the shoulders okay?

Necromancer?
I don't really get it.
But it's still nice to hear (read) such words of a Council Member.
Frightening fast reply, by the way.

I just happen to be online going through the boards for my morning pass. Usually takesmeabout an hour.

Necromancer's were characters from the Chronicles of Riddick. Goodle it. There was even a Necromancer Mando at DCon a few years back.

Actually, those were called Necromongers. They're awesome as far as weirdos go. :P

Oh, and Corr? Are the shoulders okay?

They look good to me! I mean, um, they will suffice... ;) Now get to the building part already!

I'll get to the building part as soon as I can get my lazy shebs out of the comfy seat.
And I have yet to get an idea how to make the shoulder bells.

Template? Well, I had this lesson last week about drawing mannequins, and simply laid my preliminary designs over a scetched one.

I hope so, too. Maybe the shin/elbow pieces, maybe the kama that goes with it. Depends on how lazy I am in the afternoons.

Yep. It's got the Necromonger look. But it's cool! Love the design!

Thanks, vod.
I'm curious how much of the design I can actually sew...
