Duro's Weapons [Picture Heavy]

Hey Everyone,

I'm making a separate thread from my armor build thread for my weapons. There will be some recycled bits from that thread here. Original Armor Thread:  http://mandalorianmercs.org/forum/index.php?topic=169960.0

In june of '19 I started to make my Westar 35s from the ground up.
Here's my modified template if anyone wants it.

However, due to a lack of time and build knowledge, I ended up going with a 3D print. I had also decided that Just pistols were not going to be enough.
So I went ahead ordered a Westar M-5 as well.
(The 4th un-mentioned gun in the pictures is for my Girlfriend's kit.)

And because you can't bring a gun to a knife fight I added a combat knife to the kit.
As I had gotten better at building things, and the shape wasn't too complex, the knife is made from foam and dense cardboard.

Coated it in plasti dip and acrylic paint. I repurposed a computer screw and used a sanded airsoft BB as the 'stone'

I started working on a sheath to hold my new knife in the small of my back. I decided that a small set of magnets would be my best bet at keeping it secure during troops. Man, was it a test of faith to drill the hole in the knife for the first magnet.

I decided the main body of the sheath would be a faux-leather vinyl attached to Sintra and mounted to a Sintra plate covered in duck cloth, it all attaches to my belt via Chicago Screws. I also decided that I would place my characters initials in Mando'a on the sheath.

After finishing with the rest of the belt I moved back to the pistols.
Another round of Sanding and Priming they got the metal, and high gloss clear coat.
Tip: Live in a cold and wet climate like the moon of Endor?
A bathroom with a mini desk heater and the the overhead fan going makes a great drying room. Keeps the room at roughly 67°f and a humidity of 50% or less.

Next was making and painting of base colors and decals.

Put my Girlfriend to work on the custom Mythosaur decals as she has the better hands and patients for it.

:<3: Thanks love. It looks great

Here they are before I hit them with a satin clear coat and weather them.

Currently the clear coat is drying on them. and next I will weather them with black and dirt washes.

It all looks so cool. Especially that M-5 it’s so drool worthy.
