I absolutely love this kit. You certainly reached your goal, it could easily stand alogside ESB and ROTJ Bobas.

If you don't mind me asking, what methods did you use to weather the armour plates, specifically the black marks and grime.

Hello jfk, thankyou for the kind words. In answer to your question the weathering is pretty much just done with a rattle can and a piece of card. For some parts masking fluid and other parts have highlights done with model railway washes and a little rusting powder in places . By all means P.M. for more specific details on certain parts if you like . i hope this helps mate.  ;)

Cheers Jett. I didn't realise you could get that sort of finish using rattle cans, I'll have to experiment a bit and see what I can produce. I'm assuming you used matte finish paints for everything bar the bare metal looking at it?

Ah, brilliant. Hopefully with Jett's suggestion of just rattle can paint and washes, and your rundown on how to layer I'll manage to produce a halfway decent weathering job.

I favour humbrol acrylic matt paints and halfords own brand primers (halfords is an auto shop in the uk) and humbrol model washes as well as humbrol weathering powder.  :like:

What material did you use? I've got a bit of green army canvas for mine....been hanging over a fence for a year of more. Not sure if I'd go green or another shade...still need to work out the shape and size. Initially I used the pattern from the poncho Clint wore..but it's way too big for me. Also thought if I'd go left side or right...draped over right side could hide weapons etc...could get in way of quick draw 🤔
Good work on the sewing ...my dad once tried repairing a zip...while wearing the pants, ended up stitching pants to his undies   thats why I've not tried, may be hereditary

Ha ha ha i bought two waffle textured cotten furniture throws. They come in a variety of colours and cost around £15.00 for the pair.  ;)
