Trying to get a better handle on Late crusader era kits

Hi, i know it is pretty much a  custom era of kit. with large influence based on SWTOR
https://swtorista.com/articles/top-10-mandalorian-armors-in-swtor/

so, the kick is, it seems highly mech, or super basic, and trying to reconcile which is more appropriate for a late crusader.

I have the following helmet:

The matching kit, which is NLA, is:

which, the most searched completed kit for this era/armor style is

I would like to do a light armor with this helmet, and incorporating different items from the SWTOR and the TMA ramikadyc armor. and I dont want to get boxed up like a clone trooper.

SWTOR doesnt look like it really contains much leather if at all, and seems more mech and high-tech, than low-tech. That seems to not mesh with the CRL's

(dont mind that the examples are of female armor vs male armor. the male examples of all these look like linebackers, and i am not a linebacker. i prefer a streamlined kit.)

chest plates and abs

backplate

Shoulder bells

Knees

Cod

THe assessment would be to use  a blend of the id'ed parts into a single light armor kit. am i going in the correct direction?
While using a long sleeved coverall as a sealed flight suit and shoulder and side straps for the chest armor vs flak jacket.

As well as having a complex chest and ab armor with simple gauntlets or wraps? it doesnt seem to mesh well, or does it truly lie in how to balance all this together to create a congruent kit?

Thanks!

I would say the Armor that you posted at the top of this would work just fine. Though don't take my word on this as I haven't been a member for the last 10 years.

Hey Vod, I see you reference my LC kit in your post and I missed this post back in 2020.  I see you are still active on the forums and currently working on a canon Gar Saxon kit from CW S7.  Should you want to continue your Late Crusader concept for a second kit once you complete your Gar and become official, do not hesitate to reach directly out to me with a PM about my Late Crusader kit.

Fair warning I like to take pictures and I've written a novel, so be prepared for both.
