I finally finished my little half shell bracers for the long full day troops!

Here they are unweathered.







Then I weathered them, but didn't have time to take pictures as I was running out to the convection!  I also painted the Chicago screw heads grey.  I ran the booth, and was the only armored Mando for the Friday.  The couple more joined me on Saturday (there were three events happening Saturday so we had to divide and conquer).  Then we finally got the majority of the crew out on Sunday!











We also had the opportunity to help with getting service dogs con safe!  It was so much fun getting to greet the pups and get them used to being around helmed and armored folk!

Not yet...I am afraid it may be gone since I've gone through all my kit boxes (I rotate between three different ones depending on how much stuff I have to bring), wasn't in the car or near/on the mannequin I use when I am not wearing it.  It is sad but I kept all my template so it's easy enough to make a new hand plate and get new gloves, but it won't have all the weathering I have worn into it.  Ahh, well.

The glove was found!!!!  It had fallen into my sister's kit.  I still have no idea how it ended up with her stuff but at least I have it back!

We also did a little bit of a photo shoot at Fort Clinch State Park before an even the other day.  We got a couple cool pics!

We were joking about what would happen if one of us tripped so I faked a stumble and the photographer caught it.    Then I figured, ehh I can lay down in kit why not make it look like I fell.  I could hear them discussing what they were going to do.

So I haven't been able to wear this kit for a while now due to my helmet taking a dive off the dresser and bouncing more times then is healthy for it.  I am building a new one rather than fixing the old due to the weight of the old bucket.  I am hoping to have the new one finished in the next month or so and then I can pull it out again!
