So far, most of the vest patterns I've seen have been the center front closure style, like the vintage flak vests. Having worn a few different body armors myself, I was curious if 1) the center closure was an enforced standard, and 2) if anyone has tried something closer to the cut of the Interceptor body Armor, or the IOTV? I feel like something like that would A: be more comfortable and B: allow for a more stable, symmetric platform, helping keep everything positioned where it should even when in movement.

I've seen a number with side openings and back openings... I'm thinking one-sided opening with fasteck buckles (suitably painted) myself.
