Help needed with NME props large stalker visor

I got my shield in today and used the suggested ( members and NME ) Hobart #770580 shade #3 visor for my NME ( large ) stalker. I have made 3 templates but none of them seem to be able to fit on to the actual shield and all 3 turned out very simular so I know it is not the tempate as all 3 failed. I have tried every way I can think of and even if i cut almost on the very line with no over lap I still end up with gaps. Does anyone have any tips on this ? Am I using the wrong shield for the large stalker ? If so what do I need to buy instead. So frustrated..
