Ah I found this so awesome I went and searched for the pep file for the tau warrior lol. I found it and while I'm not modifying it for a mando you've inspired me to make a tau warrior . Keep up the great work ner vod can't wait to see the finished product.

Anyways, Malus contacted me, and asked me to whip up a paint scheme based upon the concept art that Hydra did, and some discussions he and I have had about it.

The original lineart (before I ran it through Illustrator, edited and cleaned it up some) Is Hydra's, so credit where it's due (its also in the first post).

This is a crop of the chest section, as I've not finished with the rest yet. It's hi-res, so i can't image link it. you gotta click.

OK so most of the armour is made:

All that I have to finish is:
♥Sabatons (feet)
♥Left and Right Greaves
♥Left and Right knees
♥Left and Right Cuisse (upper leg or thigh)
♥Rerebrace (upper arm or bicep)
♥Bevor (neck and chin)
♥Right Vambrace and elbow cop
♥Tassets
♥Power fists
♥Arm mounted Flamer
♥Arm mounted blaster
♥ War belt to cover lower back as well

I think thats it. I know it looks daunting but I have 5 or 6 weeks to finish it with spring break around the corner. I'm going to go work on the Greaves now. Oh yeah, I still have to paint everything.

Still working, taking a break from it though. Need to study for finals. After next week I will pick this up again. I don't have anything to do after that so it's just work for two weeks straight. Hopefully I can finish it be Phoenix comicon. Nearly done though. Thanks for asking.

Ok, that looks freaking amazing. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this done, and even more to seeing it in person come DCon. If I had to pick one thing about it I liked best, I'd say the helmet; the slightly Y-shaped, sharp cornered visor looks great, and overall it has a nicely 'ancient'-style helmet feel to it.

I assume that the boxy pack-looking thing on the top right of the first picture is going to be a jetpack of some kind? Oh, and extra credit for using the proper term for thigh and upper-arm armor .
