First post, hello everyone!
I finished my first Mando armor for Katsucon 2020 back in February, which went over great. I went for a heavy plating style taking inspiration from samurai armor and crusader era Mandos. There are LEDs in various places throughout the suit for some extra pop. Most of this suit is 1/4" Kydex that I cut with a dremel and sanded/heat bent into shape, the more detailed sections are 3D printed nylon or carbon fiber nylon. Here's some pics from Katsucon, and some of the suit before painting.

Pre-Paint

Although I think it looks great, the suit weighs 35 pounds and is not as mobile as I'd like. I started the teardown process right after the convention, with plans to make a bunch of changes. My goals were to shed at least 5 pounds, add a cooling system, increase mobility and redo my LED work. So far I've added a huge rear fan (80x80x38mm) which moves plenty of air and a few 30mm neck fans which flow air up into my bucket. While in this process, I'd like to take on the challenge of getting this armor certified as Crusader era armor. I'll be asking a lot of questions in this thread as I continue to post my WIP, hoping you guys can help me out
I did a quick suit up a few days ago, here's how the armor is currently looking.
These are all the plates that I've modified and decided to keep. I need to design and build new shin guards and the left arm, then I get to repaint everything :p
