Yep. Just barely, and mainly because I've got  a floating joint connecting them that allows extra flex.  ;D The centre connector is attached with Chicago  screws (actually, everything is) so it can shift a bit.

I'll probably switch it out for some thick leather, or rubber, depending what I can get my hands on.

Well, it's better than I expected with a single piece chest.
I designed my Crusader to be completely out of leather, with armour plates sewn into leather pieces.
Just wanted to have a very flexible kit as backup.

There's the fun part. it's not single piece at all. It's a 3 piece (for the main) semi-rigid.

Currently getting some paint on it. It's primed and painted now with a smoke grey.

Unfortunately it seems I got some dust on some parts, so I'll have to sand it and get more paint on it tomorrow.

I'm currently pushing the chest to painted and wearable stage for an invasion on the weekend, so I'll wear that, tack on a half cape and some quick gaunts so I don't feel so left out.  ;D

haha true. I have 5 or 6 weeks to finish my late period crusader and I have about a dozen more pieces of armor to finish. lol

Paint!





Colours are kinda washed out in the pics, took them quick as the clear coat was drying.

Inserts are a metallic blue, while the main chest is a darker metallic grey, with the sides a lighter nickle colour.

Then misted over a bit with an anodized bronze (aka a really dark grey) and dusted with some powdered charcoal.

Have a nicely distressed short cape and a dirtied up girth belt to dress things up with, hopefully I'll be able to do a wearing it pic come tomorrow.
