Yeah! This is looking great. I like your construction methods and the paint job sets it off well. Post more pics when you get a chance.  ;D

I'm starting to feel pretty good about this kit. Gave it the first run as pictured above at an event.

No part failures during wear of it, had a few putting it together friday night.

While it doesn't have the same identification as the modern era armor, I was pointed out as a Mandalorian a few times. We have a very educated fan base it seems, it was always "Mandalorian, like boba fett" not "there's boba fett".

A change I will make is make the chest latch to the girth belt, and some changes on the suit itself like removing/moving some of the pockets.

I just stopped and looked at the requirements and did a double take. From the looks of it, I need a codpeice or equivalent, boot armor (only due to the laces, unless I go with some without), shoulders and a finished bucket and I cover the requirements for Late Era.

Not that I'm going to do just the bare minimum, I need some shin armor to tighten up the flight suit on the shins anyway, and If I'm doing that and boots, well, doing up some thighs and knees just makes sense.

Looks good but I think it should be a little wider on your frame but that is just me.

i think a set of shoulders and some , side/kidney plates and it would look perfect. i understand what you mean about it looking a little thin, but i think thats part of the design.

The width has been a balancing act. The look I want vs coverage and "protection". Along the line I'll probably get a vest (which also help tighten up the coveralls) and layer in some more plates along where your talking about.

As things currently stand, the completed suit might end up being more of a medium/heavy in terms of coverage.

Having seen it in person, I would say it has the right proportion. Much larger and it may look fine, but the mobility will be gone.

Arketh, Ner Vod, Those look very sharp! Excellent use of the leather on the backside of the chest. It's a perfect optical illusion. Keep up the awesome work!

Paint!

Colours are kinda washed out in the pics, took them quick as the clear coat was drying.

Inserts are a metallic blue, while the main chest is a darker metallic grey, with the sides a lighter nickle colour.

Then misted over a bit with an anodized bronze (aka a really dark grey) and dusted with some powdered charcoal.

Have a nicely distressed short cape and a dirtied up girth belt to dress things up with, hopefully I'll be able to do a wearing it pic come tomorrow.

Nice work vod.  ;D

I like how you spray painted the sintra. Looks more like metal than plastic
Great job. 8)

I too love the paint job! I agree that the sintra definitely looks more metal than plastic.

What kind of paint did you use, if you don't mind me asking? Any specific brand?
