In an effort to make sure that everyone's on the same page, the Education Team would like to pass on a message from the Approval Team.

Hello everyone,

At this time we are still having issues with the email system we use to send application related correspondence.  If you have an email with either @hotmail.com or @outlook.com you will not receive emails directly from the communications team as these are the providers that are currently not compatible.  At this time, the communications team is sending both a personal message over the forums to the applicant and to the clan’s email.  It is the responsibility of all applicants to regularly check their personal messages and clan officers to regularly check the clan emails for this correspondence.  Messages sent directly to the clan email are to be provided to the applicant through the clan Ruus’alor Sol’yc.  Individuals who are not currently a part of a clan or are stronghold members are encouraged to check personal messages by logging onto the forums frequently.

The issue has been presented to the Tech Team but we have no timeline for an anticipated fix at this time.

Per the CRL’s, “Gloves must fully cover the front and back of the palm and wrist” for Modern Era and P.I. while “Full fingered gloves are required to meet the fully “sealed” flight suit requirement” are required for Neo-Crusader, Crusader, and Early Crusader. We have been seeing an issue that is becoming more common, and as such, we felt the need to issue a PSA. Any glove design that incorporates holes that would expose the skin of the palm, back of the hand, or wrist will need modification to be CRL compliant. We have included two examples of the glove styles we sometimes see that can pose an issue without modification (and highlighted the area of concern).
 

 
 

 
This is meant to serve as a reminder to our recruits and membership that those designs need modification to ensure that the skin of the hand is not exposed.

There has recently been discussion in a few places regarding the Night Owl style helmet.  Many people appear to think that only females can wear Night Owl style helmets.  This is incorrect.  The Night Owl style helmet is available for anyone to use, so long as they're building a kit in the Modern, Legacy, or Post-Imperial era.  Like all helmets, the Night Owl is simply a helmet and has no gender associated with it.
