Cummerbund vs apron for post imperial build?
« on: Jan 08, 2022, 03:07 AM »
I want to incorporate a midsection soft part to my flightsuit similar to axe woves and din djarjn. Not entirely sure if i want to go with a cummberbund or apron. I'm using a Djarjn v2 flightsuit and flak jacket so there is a gap between the bottom of my flak jacket and belt.

Some examples of both

The 'apron' looks like it's just the center portion of the cummerbund style pulled out separately.

I vote go with the full cummerbund style. If you have a 2-piece flight suit it'll cover that up nicely all the way around. I'll also vote for making it yourself - you can make it as basic or as fancy as you want. If you can run a sewing machine you can probably make a decent one.  If you can't yet, it looks like a good project to learn on.

And if you want to do an upgrade later you can make and overlay a nice center panel (like the apron in your link) on top of your basic piece.

I'm going for just the cummerbund myself.
