Speaking of the gauntlets though, I finished them up this afternoon! Working from home has made mando things so easy. Chipping added this morning and airbrushed on my lunch break and after I clocked out for the day.

Question - what are your plans for the thighs? That's a really large blank canvas - thigh holsters? thigh pouches? thigh plates? plate holsters? a lot of long dangly belt accessories? So many options

You kit it looking awesome so far! Great work! I'm also looking into doing the "Ironside" helmet in my kit as well as soon as I can find someone with a working 3-D printer. Any tips, tricks or suggestions you have for printing and completing the Ironside?

Bucket is 99% printed! Just the keyslots left which are printing now. I'm very happy with the quality of these files. Xol did a fantastic job.

Yeah I'm not quite sure yet hahaha. Once I have the soft parts I'll try a few things and see what sticks

When you purchase the files they come with a blank template. I colored it in photoshop

The mailman made me very happy today. Soft parts finally came in! They are by the DarkSide Closet and let me tell you they were worth the wait.



The nicest mando soft parts I've ever seen and fit PERFECTLY. I cannot recommend them enough. I'll need to punch up the weathering to match my paint but otherwise they just need some velcro!

An update for you all! Finally dragged myself to the basement to work more on filling 3D print lines. I've been using UV resin to speed up the process. It's stinkier and messier, but definitely faster than spot putty.

I also dirtied up my vest! Looks much better now.

This is has by far been the most tedious piece since the helmet, and now I have to do the other one 

Here's the journey from base colors to weathered. The entire shin is held together with strategically placed velcro.

Working on hip plates now and the back plate is on the printer!

Primed and ready for red. Hoping to get this first hip finished tonight and the second by tomorrow.



As I've been working on my own kit, I've ALSO been working on several friend kits!

Here's my "finished pieces" shelf which includes some of my own gauntlets and shin, but also my friend's armor!



And in the basement workshop we have another liege and ursa wren style in progress for two more friends. All for post imperial squad.

I've been a bit hesitant to try to do any large print jobs especially since I'm fairly new to 3d printing. I don't know how exactly to slice things to print them in pieces because I don't think it's possible in cura. But I'm antsy to just try to print some post imp parts for my "Oops" vest that I bought. Haha.

All that to say, your prints are gorgeous!

It definitely took years of trial and error! hahaha.

You can't cut in cura, but you can in a free program called meshmixer. I use it frequently to slice things up before printing. Tons of youtube tutorials!!
