Hiya,

I'm looking at making my post imperial flak jacket out of cotton duck fabric, and was wondering what sort of weight I should be using? I assume something around 10-11oz should do the trick?

I think 12-oz is as light as I would go, plates and gravity and all that. 15-oz after a washing is soft and comfortable, on par with denim. I'm using it for a lot of stuff right now.

(And thanks for the compliment on the name, it's been attached to me since roller derby.)

Thank you, 12oz it is then, I'm not convinced my sewing machine will take much more, it's practically on its last legs
