So here is a little preview to something I have been working  on.  A Live action DeathWatch from the Mandalorian Ep 8. I'll be doing the 3 strip version as I recently placed on the Sgt test at work and am set for an upcoming promotion. All parts are either in my possession, on order or currently being printed other than the jet pack.



Never-mind the backplate. It is a placeholder until the jet pack comes in and final cannon CRL is set in stone.

A little weathering



Update with soft parts. To be noted, the DW is required to visually be a two piece flightsuit.

Looks like a good start.

Did you make your soft parts yourself, or get them somewhere?  Suit color looks a little dark, but the up close pictures look better.   

Weathering looks pretty good.  I would try to work in some burnt umber as well to give it a little more pop.  That's what gives the plates and helmet a little yellow tint like the suits used in the show.   

Don't forget the Death Watch symbol on the Left shoulder plate!

Vest looks long.  It should stop at the bottom of your abdominal plate.

Thank you sir. They were made from a vendor on Etsy Bigeffectprops. The vest was way long. I hemmed it up to be even with the ab over the weekend.

Had to hem the vest up to be even with the ab plate. It was way too long. Did a re sanding and painting  of the shoulders after seeing some print lines that had snuck through the process. They are gone now. Got the DW watch emblem and ranked stripes added to the shoulders.

The fit is much better with the shorter vest. The costume just feels weird with all the open space between vest and belt after being used to wearing a girth on my custom kit for so long.

Update

Replaced the armor. Helmet finished. I’m also working on a shorter vest and have redyed the flight suit for accuracy.
