Hey all. Thank you to the powers that be for getting me access to this brigade board as a retiree.

I've been planning the DW armour for the last few months and here's what my set up will be:



Soft goods from Steven Walker (MMCC OM Set-one & Rebel Base Designs) Matching visual references grey suit and light grey vest.

Fiberglass armour based on the Great ape files and cast by me with permission from darren.

Accurate Funtasma captain boots

Knock off Slide belt.

Either modified black series, Repainted boba helmet that I currently have, or a 3d print, still undecided on which

Leather goods made by me to match references

British army leather gloves.

Straeker armories carbine 3d printed by Cabiris workshop

3d printed or cast blaster, source undetermined.

3d printed jetpack, File from Slusho on Thingiverse

So far I've finished my carbine, Molded the butt plate and I'm currently prepping gauntlets for molding. Steevie will be starting work on my suit soon, and I'm still working on printing and finishing the other great ape items.

So so far I have a finished mold of the butt plate and the gauntlets are getting clayed up to mold. I've printed out the hand plate and started finishing it up. Once things get a little safer over here virus wise I'll be getting the rest of the prints in to finish. I really need to set up a quick photo taking station and get good shors of the gaunts and butt plate.

Me too. My first Bracer piece is clayed up and ready for silicone but I need to get the energy to commit to the brush mold so it's laying in wait for now.

Hand plate is almost there too, just need a wee bit more filling and sanding then it'll be ready for clay.

Small updates.

All 3d printed pieces for the mold masters are now in hand and ready to finish

Gauntlet is still clayed up and waiting on silicone, winter massively put me off.

Softs are in progress from Rebel Base Designs and I cannot be more excited for them as Stevie is an artist.

I'm doing a big clean and reorganize today and once I'm done with that I'll take some pics of my current pieces to post up here as I got my camera out of storage and bought some decent rechargeable batteries so it's a lot more reliable now for documenting everything.

I downloaded RafalFett's MQ-1 circuit board 3D model and designed my own housing for it based on his but more symmetrical (his was designed to fit his own Boba 3d model, mines will be for a random generic helmet) I also made a number of changes to the model to make it better for resin printing and ran one off for myself which I'm very happy with. One is already installed in my Terminal Fettler ESB V1 helmet as it was one of the last pieces it was missing and I'm very pleased with the quality of the piece courtesy of my Elegoo Mars Pro which i picked up as a wee birthday present to myself and Rafal's amazing models

I believe these are all of the updates I have to post for now. as said I'll snap some pictures of my progress with my camera and upload them soon.

Yeah. I just need to find a few solid hours of motivation to batter out the worst of it.

Handplates look a little small to me.



Granted that could change once you put the gloves on, but that's my concern at this point.

I think a large part of that is just the gloves laying flat.

Additional info, the plates are Great ape Studios Deathwatch Curved plates printed at 100%

Looking over screen-grabs of Chapter 8 they don't seem to fully cover the back of the hand there is a slight gap of glove around most characters.



References I'm running off with gaps around plates circled



I'm concerned that if I made the hand plates any larger they would look oversized compared to my hands and not get approval.

With your hands in the gloves, it makes the size appear MUCH better compared to the references.

Better we make sure you're good to go now before getting too far down the line to make changes without significant effort to fix the problem.
