Question about material for Flak Jacket

https://www.joann.com/jo-ann-stores-duck-canvas-fabric/prd23683.html?dwvar_prd23683_variationAttribute=16768731&quantity=1

Would this work for a flak jacket? or is the pattern too noticeable? I know the pattern is there because it's the kind of cloth it is, but I wanted to double check.

Duck cloth is used by alot of Mandos here!  As long as it's not printed, duck cloth is totally fine.  The texture is no issue and looks good in my opinion.

Duck is a go-to fabric for most costume applications around here.  Star Wars is full of textured woven fabrics, and almost no prints.

That’s a nice weight, not too heavy. Would work for a number of things.
