It looks like a flashlight with a blade made of lexan or plexiglas. The light naturally exits the edges to light up. You could finish that up by just putting aluminum ductwork tape on the flats of the blade.

Thank you so much for your info. It is a very good idea and I will tested with my second blade. Thank you again.  :jango:

I'm here vod if I can help you. Tell me what you need?  :)

Oh, I was just wondering what the blade material is, and where you got it from? I've seen a few of these, and would love to know what they were made of.

For the blade I used plexi glass foil (5mm) and I cut it with a band saw, and I bough it from hard store. The grey cap is a cap of PVC pipe, white elements are made from sintra and final is the light done with a small torch.

Thank you so much vod. I'm on virgin land. Never use a sew machine or work with sintra but it is funny to learn by myself.
Unfortunately we don't have mandalorians in Romania so I'm the first with this build here.

In this evening I hope to finish my girth belt.
Also my vibro dagger is updated with a aluminium foil over that plexi blade and that it will helping to looking good when the lights are off.
I will put soon pics with that and with all piecese are made it to build that dagger.

Credit where credit is due, I saw Adam Savage use it to metallicize a wooden sword and thought it would do even better for a vibroknife.

I saw that clip. It was like a one day build sword.
It was a good idea to reflect the light. I thought to use mirror foil for that.

I made a test with girth belt and my lates leather belt with pouches and it works ok.
The belt it is not fixit and a have a bronze piece from where I can detash some parts to take out my pouches and must paint that belt in some brown colors.
I think it was a good idea to have a back-up to can open this belt from 2 places and to can upgrade in time.

After that I draw my scabberd pattern on a leather and cut it and made this build works on my dagger.
Small advice: It is always good to make a mock up before make a piece for a costume like this.

my dagger it will be here

scabbard dagger build
