The boots that I plan do use for my kit have zippers on the sides. How do I hide those?

If the zipper runs up the inside or the back of the boot and is the same color as the boot I’m pretty sure you didn’t need to cover it at all, if it’s not then you’d have to cover it with spats or armor is something similar

Ff the zipper matches and is on inside or back you don't have to hide them. However, other than previously mentioned above, you can stich leather over the zipper like a flap to hide it. Most people seem to use either wraps, spats, leather, or armor plates.

Would suggest gaiters to make or buy they are kinda covers for your boots
