I bought a vintage ray gun off ebay. and a nerf from a thrift store
I gutted and kitbashed themadded a tipfrom a liquid smoke bottle and some custom pieces out of friendly plastic as well as bondo filler and greeblies . Now to prime and paint.
Added a few more greeblies and removed the cone at the tip.

First primer/sanding process. I've also removed the cone tip and filled in the loop on the grip.

Swapping the whole grip assembly looks dynamite! Really makes it a custom piece too, no one else has one of these. Canít wait to see it painted!

Love that you made it 'Lefty preferred' :D

Also, you may want to adjust the 'NERF HOOK' on the back of the grip. It's a Nerf staple. Otherwise, gorgeous work.

Sand off the texturing and you've got yourself a nice, functional lanyard loop. A lot of military pistols featured them (and still do), especially around the 1900s. One of the Westar 35 prints floating around even has a lanyard loop. Use some leather or nylon cord for a lanyard to complete the look.

Adding a leather wrap to the grip itself would definitely help breakup that Nerf outline, too.

I'm a right. What makes you think it's lefty??
I didn't know that about the nerf hook. I may fill it or alter it. Thanks.

I may alter the loop. However Cobb Vanth has one, you can see in the first stand off. My eye focused on it. Also, wrapping the grip might just happen....

It looks like a "Buck Rogers ray gun" converted into a Mandalorian blaster.  Good work.

Thanks!
It does kind of have that look. I've since taken the flared tip off the barrel. It looked clunky and too 70's. Lol. I will upload new pics soon.
