my helmet beginning
« on: May 12, 2021, 02:54 PM »
So, if anyone actually remembers me after so many years. I'm here. I finally got around to starting, and here is my helmet now. I trimmed it with my handy dandy dremel, and I managed to scratch it. yet like Bob Ross says, "we don't make mistakes-- just happy accidents." so, it'll be battle damage. This was a coldcast Jango helmet. Now granted, it's been years, can someone remind me..... question 1: coldcast helmets, do They need primer before painting? or is it good to go? I'm doing a Maul Mandalorian. Which brings me to question 2: I have 2 ideas, for a design. it'll mainly be red obviously, so is there a kind of black paint I can use as a "trial" version, that if I don't like the design afterall, I can wash it clean and go with my other idea instead? Do you understand what I'm saying? lol. I know you may be very hesitant to clock this, yet I give you my word, this link isn't harmful. I googled free image hosting and this is the first that popped up. https://ibb.co/L8r01dH

Edit. did a little scribbling. this isn't the final result obviously. here's option 1. https://ibb.co/1mvTFNq
and option 2. https://ibb.co/mvthwfJ
(I may think of another.)

I've done more work on it. I'll just point you to my TDH thread for the pictures this time. So, nobody cares to give their thoughts?
