Have a few pieces finished but messed up one so will have to redo it.

I do have a question about the shoulder armor.
Could I use a setup similar to this or do they need to be the same on each side?

No, they don’t need to be symmetrical.

I knew they didn't have to be the same but saw in the requirements that they need to be distanced the same from the collar plate. And with them being different sizes it looks better if they sit in different positions. Was hoping someone could clear that up. Thanks.

I would make sure that the two brown shoulder plates are spaced the same on either side. However, the additional tan pauldron over the left shoulder looks fine as is.

Thanks for the answer and that does help. Only thing is if I do that the right should is farther than 2 inches from the collar and that was also a requirement lol. See my delima.

Then move the left one up a bit to match the right one then fit the secondary pauldron in place.
