Sizing helmet for 3D Print, 1st helmet
« on: Jun 07, 2021, 01:19 AM »
Hello! First post here. Iím trying to make my first helmet, how should I size my helmet prior to a 3D print? Particularly if I have to print it in pieces? Is PLA fine or should I use ABS for my costume? Thanks a bunch in advance!

Do you use files made by others? Most file sellers will list sizing guides in measurements and according scaling in percentages. This usually is based off the circumference of your head. Scaling can be done with any slicing software. As for materials, ive printed helmets using PLA, works fine but will need some reinforcing between parts, resin and fiberglass works great on the inside seams
