WIP - First armor with 3D print - Nightowl armor

Hello Vod  :porg2: I'm really happy to be part of yours and benefit from your experiences.

My first armor was in EVA Foam. I wear it last year for Halloween and now, after a lot of questions about de how to, the cost, etc... I'm here to make a kit with 3D print parts. I want to keep it simple and add more stuff to it afterward. The objective is to be capable of wearing it by July, for the Comic Con of Montreal.

Here's the concept :

I already have some pieces: Gauntlets, chest pieces, knees, legs, and the helmet minus the rangefinder and an earcap. The backplate is coming in May.

The gauntlets, chest pieces, knees, and legs are already sanded and primed, I'm on it for a few weeks now. Here there are :

Some pieces need little more love, but it's a good start.  :D

For the kama of this kit, If allowed, I want to use the simple kama I did for my EVA Foam armor, but with a new belt made of leather. There it is :

.

What do you think of it?

And as a weapon, I paint an IB-94 blaster with an airbrush. First time, it's not perfect but I like it  :D :

I painted some armor parts this past weekend. And the helmet last night. It misses the rangefinder and needs some love, but it's pretty finished.
The gantlets are in process.  :D

Finally, the armor will be darker than my concept, but I love it this way.

Hey, Ombresia, great work! Did you use masking technique for a chipped paint look or just painted scratches on top?

Hey you :) I used toothpaste for that effect. Add toothpaste where you want it, paint, and remove it with a lightly wet fabric.

Helmet is done  :porg2:  But I will change the visor for a black one. See the life in green is a bit disturbing.

New Kama (thanks to my mom  :<3:) :

I also did a test fit for my gantlet/gloves and shin armor/knees :

A few tweeks to do for the attachment of the shin armor but it will be great I think. :) And I have my flight suit now, after a couple weeks in the hands of a tailor  :porg2:

I almost forgot, but I received my holster. Really happy with it !

I had some little issue with my chestplate. It was too small after all and I needed to redo it entirely. That was not so fun, but the result is really better. I'm very happy with it now, the proportions seems great to me. I also remade the backplate and the shoulderstrap to fit with the new chestplate. :)

The old and the new :

Suit up :
