I had been kicking around the backpack idea for a while. I'd gotten hung up on the idea of using an alice pack frame, but ended up deciding against it. The main purpose was to get the excess items off my belt and chest strap.

I ended up buying an old boy scout yucca backpack. I tried a few things to fill out the inside. Wicker basket worked well but added weight. I put together a cardboard box, reinforced in several areas to fill it out and keep it light. So far its the best option.
With paracord thru the d rings on the side I have the blaster on one side and a moisture vaporator canteen on the other, with a ring of trophies above it. I mounted the flash grenades on, reworked my bes'bev holder and attached it, did a little painting and weathering.
I need to lengthen the shoulder straps because it was made for a child, not a grown man in space armor. I have heavy leather straps, chicago screws and d-rings coming in for that. Plus I want to add leather straps over the grenades and the co2 canister casts to add as gauntlet reloads. I reworked an ak mag pouch to hold my macros. Itll be attached to the bottom of the bag. I have a sword coming in as well from one of my clan members that I plan to attach too.

The canister casts and macro pouch that are going on next.

Leaning towards the blaster rifle but i could use the smaller blaster on it instead. Which one do you think looks better?

Ill finish it up when the rest of the supplies arrive.
Heres my kit on a mannequin in my living room. So you can see what its matched with and for size perspective on the backpack. Until I let the shoulder straps out it'll barely fit on the mannequin, let alone me in full kit.
