[Marimov, Te Kando be Tor]

Here is the beginning of my armory for my kit. This is a custom knife drawing inspiration from the Jango dart form episode 2 (http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131014145731/starwars/images/2/20/Kamino_saberdart.jpg), Kal Skirata tri blade knife from the Republic Commando novels, and the Kal knife (https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/b/b0/Kal_Dagger.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20140131063932).




This one is not primed or painted yet, still deciding on the color and finish I want to give it. The handle is still in the prototype and development stages, but I've pretty much landed on a T horizontal grip with small engines in the back. I'm also working on an in-universe name for it, but we'll see what I wind up going with.

Here is the first blaster ("final verdict" is what is written on the side because, as a Destiny player, I feel a compulsion to name all my weapons). I'll post better pictures later in a future update, but as you can see, it is a westar 35.


I plan on making a few variants of the knife, a TL-50 heavy blaster, a DL-18 blaster pistol, and a custom blaster inspired from the concept of a chiss charic.

Looks very threatening! It’s a fantasy of mine to scratch build a TL-50 but it’s a lot of work and I don’t have the right tools to help with it yet. What’s your plan there?

I don't have access to any power tools beyond a dremel, so I'll be 3d printing the parts and gluing together. I found a free model on thingverse that looks great (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3448784/files). I hope to scratch build a blaster or modify some nerf or airsoft gun to make it a blaster at some point, but I'm in the same boat. It's seems kinda tough without tools.

While I remember I have threads going, now is probably a good time for an update.
First off, the knife with a handle. It was kind of a rush job for Halloween, so there are a lot of print lines visible that I'll clean up later. I also experimented with how painting a bit, but it'll probably wind up either all silver or all black by the end. (The seam between the blade and the handle will also need a bit of work after it failed an unexpected "play test"  )




I'm still in the process of designing and prototyping a "T" grip of sorts with some greebles and things, but I'm not in too huge a rush as painting weather is over here in the northern US, so it'll be a bit before I can finish and paint one of those.

As for the TL-50... the filament I was using for it may have clogged my printer due to my temp settings, so I need to trouble shoot that before I continue with the printing of it. I did get through two good pieces before the last one failed though.

I've also been dabbling with a different custom heavy blaster pistol/revolver-ish design, so I'll hopefully be back here with pics of the design before the end of the year.
