Politicking is the act of seeking out votes to support a specific candidate or position.

Examples of politicking are, but not limited to:
1)  Seeking out a nomination for a specific position
2)  Asking individuals or groups to vote a certain way
3)  Persuading individuals or groups to vote a certain way
4)  Offering goods, services, positions, or other forms of "quid pro quo" to vote a certain way
5)  Using extortion to force individuals or groups to vote a certain way

While it is not proper to ask someone to make a nomination on your behalf, it is completely acceptable for a person to ask another if they are interested in being nominated.  The purpose of this is to ensure someone does not waste their one nomination on a person who is not interested in taking the position
