Noot Braska Post Imp Concept WIP
« on: Dec 30, 2021, 11:59 PM »
I'm a bigger guy and this is my first attempt at a full kit.  The overall style is based on this concept from the Mandalorian TV show.

I produced this mash up and color scheme

And have this more illustrative image with the various parts better defined

I've been working with my clan but would love some more feedback or any potential issues with the Post Imp CRLs

Well  - I love where this is going!

My only 2 cents would be to make the shin and boot armor silver to match the majority of the rest of your armor - this way all your hard work won't blend in with your use of brown soft parts.

Also, I currently see nothing in your design that would not be approvable per the CRLs as you have also incorporated 4 lower body armor pieces.

Thank you so much!  I was having the same thoughts about the shin and boot armor.  I'll take that into consideration.

Very welcome. Honestly - I think this is my favorite post-imp custom Mando I have seen floating around the forums.

Can't wait to see more of this

I wasn't happy with the colors, so I produced some alternate color ways.  The character is a bounty hunter who only takes jobs eliminating or capturing former Empire soldiers and officers.  He is a hide in plain sight kind of person and prefers the comforts of urban environments.

Personally, I like the armor and flightsuit colors of image #1, but the vest and Kama color from image #3.

#2 for me.

The colors are more subdued and militaristic  :like:

I like number 4, always been a big fan of the green and yellow accents together. There was a unit of clone troopers with that scheme and it looked good. And just partial to green.

Made some changes to the colors matched to the actual colors of the products I intend to purchase.  Granted these are internet product pictures so the colors are probably not 100% accurate.

Gunmetal grey for the armor

Tuscan Sun for the accents

Grey Dickies Coverall

A quilt from Amazon in either Green or Blue

It's been a little while and I have been working on my soft parts and starting to draw up patterns for my armor.  The band around my waist is a mockup of a belt.

Dude. Can't wait to see this finished.

Looking great! Size wise, those chest templates look perfect

I'd just like to get some opinions before I start cutting vinyl and junk for my belt.

I am planning on a large belt about 4 inches wide with multiple ammo and pouches on it with a large buckle similar to new Boba Fett.

Here I have the design.  I combined the Crimson Dawn sigil with the suns of Tattooine.  The 4 bars at the bottom are meant to represent a Rancor claw/fingers.  I wanted to keep the buckle simple and geometric.

So, here's where I need some opinions.  I will be carrying 2 holsters with 2 DT-29s (Krenic's blaster from Rogue One).  Originally, I was thinking about having holsters like Bo Katan's belt, with some angled buckles and straps that go down the thigh.  It seems to be a popular method for attaching holsters.

Then I was looking at Cara Dune's Belt.

I was thinking about mounting a tasset plate above the holster and rather than doing straps, make it a solid piece.  So, I drew up this quick mockup. I don't know what counts as a tasset plate so the plate might need to be bigger and go behind the holster?

I love this picture!  I know you ended up with the Ironside, but do you know what helmet was in this picture?

Thank you!

I love the look of the chestplate. You have a template or drawings you used to cut it out?

Thank you!

This was a custom design I was briefly working on before the Ironside.  I also have seen the Okami and talked it over with my Ruus'alor and then with Q&A and everyone has said it falls too close to the 80/20 rule to use.

I love the look of the chestplate. You have a template or drawings you used to cut it out?

I made the pattern myself.  I worked off of screen shots of Paz to get the proportions relative to my body and started cutting shapes out of posterboard.  I ended up making the chest out of sheet ABS but probably wont work with that material again.
