I have been a big fan of KOTOR and SWTOR so I have decided to start making a neo-crusader kit for myself. I am mostly looking for advice. I am going to prototype with paper, but I am hoping to use something like hard plastic for the kit eventually. Also, do you call it a kit or a costume? XD

Oya fellow Neo in progress here, majority of folks use a plastic sheet called Sintra/Foamex in either in 3mm or 6mm if I remember correctly as it's very easy to cut and shape with minimal tools etc, I'm personally building a Neo kit out of metal which has certainly been a challenge. 

Main things to be aware of for Neos are the colour restrictions (blue, red, yellow or silver), the helmet can be completely solid or silolid faceplate and dome with a fabric hood over it and the torso must be a single piece or at least appear as a single piece iirc.

Definitely a challenging era to build a kit for but if you work with the Ruus from your local clan it's definitely doable and is hugely rewarding as you progress and stands out amongst the crowd.
