Yes, it does look good, but I think I would stop weathering there. You don't want to overload it. Give it a few weeks before you do anything more, move on to other parts of your kit for now.

My favorite part of the weathering is actually that thin "slice" of silver showing through along that groove in the cheek plate. I think that looks like cool, shape-accurate weathering, possibly from using a tool to clean gunk out of the groove, or maybe a blaster or sand hitting the edges of the groove harder than the flat parts of the plate.

Thx!!  Ya, I agree.  Not even a few weeks… I’m saying done with that part completely unless during application process I get mandated to change it.

Vod.

Exceptional work on that helmet.

This kit has really taken on a life of it's own.

I'm really glad the checkerboard won out (dances around in his Final Checker shirt). Absolutely love the "happy accident" on the paint, that looks old school military (before everything went grey on grey).

Just loving everything about it so far!

When we were talking before I think it was about the torso plate, but ya.  Checkerboard had to come into it somewhere ;)

Blaster holster, belt and pouches.

Template making

Raw after assembly

After adding dye

(And drying)

With the blaster (SE-14R… Lando in solo, death troopers, I think some imp officers, etc).

+ pouches (wwii Swiss military surplus)
