My wife wants to use the bo katan chest in her build, how would we go about measuring it for the best fit? Like solely across and the rest just sort of sorts itself out? Or what?

I recommend starting with a pre-made pattern and adding width to the two main front chest plates as needed.  Keep in mind that you might need to add some height in too.  If you end up significantly widening the front chest plates (I added several inches to mine, as I’m a plus-sized lady) then the ab plate (if wearing) will also need to be widened.  If you can, I recommend making a mock-up (I used poster board) so you can draw lines and edit as needed before diving into the material you are using to manufacture the plates.  Good luck,
