Mission Objective: Costumed characters will march in the San Francisco Chinese New Year's Parade (CNY) 2022.
Event Report: The Wolves of Mandalore arrived at the tent area along Sansome street around 9:30 to set up tents (to be used by all 4 Star Wars Clubs) and guard the area until parade time. Four Star Wars clubs cooperated to plan and participate in this event including the Wolves of Mandalore, 501st GGG, Rebel Legion, and Saber Guild. Members checked in with club leaders after arriving separately or being shuttled from the LFL parking lot. Club leaders checked in with the parade coordinators at 3:00, and all club members began suiting up at 4:00. Group photos were taken at 5:00 before moving the the parade staging area along Market and 2nd street. Members waited at staging until our unit began moving at around 6:30. The Wolves of Mandalore, Teren, and Manda'galar marched in a unit under the banner of the Wolves of Mandalore (behind Saber Guild, RL, and in front of the 501st). All clubs marched through the Television area before proceeding through the rest of the parade and several stand areas. Once out of the TV area costumed members were free to interact with the crowd by waving (but were not permitted to interact physically or to stop to pose for pictures). Length of the parade was approximately 2 miles, with another 1 mile of marching to and from the tent area. Clubs finished marching around 7:30, de-kitted and broke down the tent area.
