My first kit is almost approved, but that only means it's time to plan the next one!
This time I’m going for a Late-Crusader, with the NME Neo-Guard helmet. (See reference photos below for context)
Overall Concept: A Mandalorian Zealot from the Old Republic, specializing in space-walk combat. The Mandalorian Wars have almost started, but not quite. I want to emulate armor that is beginning to blossom into the Neo-Crusader look.
This Mando is hyper fixated on total conquest of the galaxy, so I want a lot of Mando’a written across the kit. I also would like to paint the base metal a bronze color, something that appears old, then paint a medium gray over it with paint chips to reveal that this armor was constructed in a much different way than traditional Beskar, or other alloys.
Armor Ideas: Mandalore the Preserver has armor I think most closely matches the energy I want the kit to have. I think this is technically Neo-Crusader armor, but I would be modifying the chest. I would split the chest plate into two parts, similar to the Paz Vizla chest armor with the chest overlapping the ab plate. I would also like collar armor.
I want a small, Old Republic Jetpack where my life support tubes lead into for an oxygen supply, and where two gimbaled thrusters are. I also want to have tools that are for cutting into the hull of ships from the outside, and maybe something to look like magnetic boots for sticking to the ships I want to invade. See my sketch below for a better idea of my general style.
Main Questions:1. How can I echo a Neo-Crusader, without crossing the line into Neo-Crusader?
2. Is my chest idea okay?
3. Is a bronze-looking base metal allowed?
4. Is there anything I should consider while designing this kit I may not know about besides anything in the Crusader CRLs?
5. As long as gauntlets aren't a modern style, can I design whatever I like? (I have added the closest thing I could find for what I want to design)
6. Can I use neo-crusader shoulders? Slightly modified, more rounded.
7. Mandalore the Preserver’s armor is the closest overall look that I want, but would this be allowed? And if not, how much could I use without breaking the rules?
8. May I connect the shins to the knees in this era?
9. If anyone has any reference, input, or suggestions on armor, please add them! Love to hear what you guys think.

11. Can I add a chest diamond to this era?
12. Can I use the Neo-Crusader Sigil on my armor?
