[Tak'ur]

So this was a plan a while back but things change and then reappear when we least expect them too...

Initial design thoughts:

The peachy colour is actually meant to be a copper but doesn't show well on the mando creator

I'll be using my leather flak vest that was going to be an upgrade for Tak'ur v1 before the change of status for my Executioner and have khaki green combats  (thigh pockets to be removed and matching long sleeved top.

Plate templates were done back in 2020 and still fit - minor adjustment to how they sit to get a more even torso







Over the plates will sit a Y-frame bandolier - this will have a beskad sheath on the back and be the mounting platform for pouches (across the stomach), ammo cartridges (tdb), breaching charges (Din Djarin style), Trophies etc...

Bucket is from Stein Customs Designs on the Hawkers Row. One of their Lrg Stout units.


Prep work:



Inner coated with a thin black covering to avoid white being "seen" when worn,


Primer filler layer to pick up any issues - I needed to fill a couple of gaps at the ears.

This is where I am with it at the moment - plan is to wait for the paint to fully cure before I mask it off for the secondary colour (Rustoleum Balmoral Red)


New gloves on order - these will have Deathwatch hand dart launchers fitted.
New Boots - tbd - rugged style chelsea boots
Back armour to be templated
Shnees to be templated but I have gaitors(ish) for these to be mounted too.
Thigh armour will be incorporated with Holsters - not entirely sure how yet but will be chatting with Hik'aari


Weapon loadout:
Twin Westar 35's (Live Action) - owned already
5ft Bronzium Spear - owned already
2ft (blade length) beskad - on order but keeping it under my hat for now..
18" Bone Knife (from whence the Tak'ur name came from - Taakur = Bone)
Din Djarin Breaching charges x3

Yesterday was a day I've been waiting for - Plate forming

The collar plate still needs some work to final shaping for it, my plan is to cut the long tabs off and have shoulder armour similar to Bo Katan (Live Action) to join between the torso plates and back plate - which will be my current kit 1 back plate with modification (and repaint)

I have a week off in a few weeks so hope the weather gives me an opportunity to move another step forwards.

Oops.. I completely forgot I had this in here as I've pushed on - but my App is in (has been for 6days now) - so just awaiting feedback after sorting all the issues picked up under Regional Pre-App.
